The Amsterdam Alternative Alliance (AAA) is a coalition of small parties and independent candidates who are united by their shared values. Partij Bijzonder, Hart voor Vrijheid and the Partij voor Basisinkomen work together on the basis of shared values: human dignity, democratic control and solidarity.

AAA is participating in the upcoming municipal elections in Amsterdam and in the district committees in West, Centre and South, because it is at the local level that the impact of policy on people becomes visible.

We stand for a city in which the Constitution and human rights are paramount. Policy must be understandable, proportionate and democratically legitimised, with the human dimension as its starting point. Not a city governed by systems, models or fear, but by trust in residents and professionals.

For us, democracy is more than just voting once every four years. We opt for direct democracy, genuine participation and power as close to the neighbourhood as possible. Local initiatives – from neighbourhood collectives to cooperatives – deserve space, trust and support.

In this way, we are building a vital and resilient Amsterdam, in which freedom of choice, self-determination and mutual connectedness are central, and polarisation gives way to cooperation around shared values.
